The air was soft, a little warm.
The gentle smell of the cotton sheets drifted to Hiccup's half asleep nose.
the smell of Jack's favorite Lavender detergent and-was that......chocolate he smelt? Oh right, it was valentines day. The brunette smiled a bit at the thought. He opened his eyes, sunlight from the
window hitting him in the face.
Hiccup groaned a bit, rolling over in his bed, blinking in tired confusing when the other side of the bed was empty.
where was Jack....? He was NEVER awake before Hiccup! He always had to wake him so he wouldn't be late for work, and get Jack to make breakfast, then go get the kids up and ready for school, make Jack Make them all lunch, then get him off to work, then cleaning the house up, probably meet Rapunzel and Astrid to do some shopping, everyone gets home, make Jack make dinner, because in all honestly, Hiccup couldn't cook for his life.
the last time he tried to make toast, the toaster exploded.
It was quickly settled that Jack would do the cooking.
He made a face, burring himself in blankets.
No way he was getting up early on his day off. Jack was up, HE could deal with the hyper-foursome for once. Don't take it the wrong way, Hiccup loved his kids to death but sometimes, a 3 year old, a 4 year old and twins 6 year olds was too much for Him to deal with, besides the kids loved him! And he loved kids, always had, so it worked out.
A another strong whiff of Chocolate, strawberry maybe? some Mint too, he was pretty sure.....
He suddenly noticed voices coming from downstairs.
"Like this, Daddy?"
"Thats perfect Frost! Now hold the mixer still and-"
"eewwww!!! DADDY!!!!!! FROST GOT CHOCOLATE ALL OVER ME!"
"Alright alright! Lets let DADDY use the electric tools, okay?"
"Give it here!"
"TURN IT OFF BEFORE YOU PULL IT OUT OF THE BOWL!!!"
"SORRY!! YOU DIDN'T SAY THAT!"
Hiccup snorted loudly, grinning tiredly at his families voices.
He was defiantly making Jack clean up whatever mess the five of them had made.
"okaaayy, now, can someone grab the cream out for me...? oh, thank you December. Now, we SLOWLY fold it in-"
"you can't FOLD chocolate, daddy."
"Folding is a way of stirring it."
".....So you stir our clothing?"
Hiccup laughed into his pillow as Jack let out an annoyed sigh.
"Folding Batter and Folding clothing is two different things"
"I don't get it"
"I'll explain later, now, i need the tray over there, yes that one, careful Autumn!"
"Cawn I eat it?"
"No, jinx, you can eat it later. I thought you didn't like chocolate?"
"You can't eat the whipped cream, sweetheart."
Funny, Hiccup could almost HEAR Jinx pouting.
"Don't give me that face, Jinx"
Oh yes, the 3 year old was defiantly pouting.
"Daddy?" frosts voice cut in.
"the thing is over flowing"
"Daddy!!! Mama said not to say that in front of us!"
Hiccup smirked to himself.
'thats my little girl, Autumn~'
"Sorry! Here! hold this! DO NOT drop it!"
"Daddy!! can I put sprinkles?"
"ooooO!!! I want the rainbow ones!!!"
"I called those first!!!!"
"d-d-dad-dy, the-ir d-d-doing it ag-g-g-ain....."
"GIRLS!! Here, everybody take one, and you can decorate it anyway you want!"
That statement was followed by loud giggles and laughs, and the sounds of the kids arguing over whos, whatever they were making, looked better.
Hiccup smiled, felling ready to sleep again, Jack seemed to have control over everything.....
The bedroom door flew open, four young kids coming screaming into the room, followed by them jumping on the bed, bouncing Hiccup around.
He sighed. There wen't the sleeping in idea....
"MOMMY!! WAKE UP!!"
"MAMA!! MAMA!! WE MADE YOU SOMETHING!!!"
Hiccup groaned, covering his head with his pillow.
After struggling to pull himself up on the bed, Jinx crawled over, yanking the pillow away.
"Yes sweety?" he mumbled tiredly.
The Toddler turned, pointing at the door.
Jack was coming in, holding a tray with an arrangement of cupcakes, or, at least what Hiccup thought were cupcakes, on it.
"Happy valentines day~" He smiled, walking towards Hiccup.
Hiccup sat up, laughing at the kids hugging and clinging on him as the tray was placed before him.
"We made them!!!"
"Right, I only HELPED"
Hiccup smirked towards him, reaching for one of the cupcakes
"NOT THAT ONE!!"
Hiccup yanked his hand back in surprise.
"Twat one dwaddies!!!" Jinx crossed his arms.
Hiccup nodded, only partly understanding the toddler-talk.
"Okay....which One should I try?"
"this one!!!" Autumn pointed out a messy one, covered in chocolate, cream and wayyyyyyy to many sprinkles.
Hiccup nodded, picking it up carefully, gently biting into it.
it didn't look very nice, but it tasted pretty good.
Autumn grinned brightly.
"try mine, Mama!!!!! Try Mine!!!!"
Jack smiled a bit, watching his kids nearly force feed their mom.
"They're all great! i promise! thank you~" Hiccup gave out hugs and kisses.
"alright, alright, you guys go back down, you all have YOUR cupcakes waiting."
"I'M PUTTING EXTRA FROSTING ON MINE!!"
" I WANT EXTRA SPRINKLES!!!"
The young kids started running off.
"they will all be on sugar highs before the day is out, Mr.frost."
"I know, Mrs. Frost"
Hiccup glared a bit, pulling him down for a kiss.
"FROST STOLE MY CUPCAKE!!!!!"
Jack sighed, pulling away the screaming-foursome where now running around the room, sugar-highs on full blast.
"Oh! that reminds me, I got you something" Hiccup smiled, reaching into a dresser drawer, pulling a long box wrapped in red paper out.
"for me~?" Jack took the box, quickly unwrapping it.
He blinked, pulling a white bottle out, labeled 'Tylenol'.
"I don't get it."
Hiccup's only response was a gesture to the Four screaming, hyper children running around their room.
